Concertmaster

Luis-Alberto Schneider has been concertmaster of the Dübendorf Chamber Orchestra since August 2016Konzertmeister Luis Alberto Schneider


He came into contact with classical music at an early age through his parents.
He studied violin at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel from 1999 to 2003. In 2005 he graduated with a Bachelor's degree from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht (NL) with Eeva Koskinen. 
2006 - 2008 he played 1st violin in duo and quartet formations within the Live Music Now organisation of Yehudi Menuhin. 
2006 - 2008 he attended the master class with Valerie Rubin in Nuremberg, where he obtained the master diploma. 
In 2008 he won 1st prize with the Anima String Quartet at the Mozartverein Nuremberg Music Competition. 
2010 - 2013 he was a member of the 1st violins in the orchestra of the Staatstheater Darmstadt. 
Since 2013 he has been a member of the 1st violins in the Graubünden Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra and since 2016 concertmaster with the "kammeroperschweiz".
